Welcome Back!!

Hi everyone and welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Mrs. Chirumbolo and I am one of Hawthorne’s ELL teachers. I’m so excited to see our returning ELL students and meet our new students! There are so many things to look forward to this year! We have an exciting new curriculum in language arts and it will be my job to guide our ELL students as they navigate through the new units of study.  We will work on building up background knowledge, learning new vocabulary, and improving our writing skills within each unit.  I will update each grade level’s units of study on this website so check back often to see what new and exciting things our students are working on!

Imagine Learning at Home

Hi Everyone!

The school year has just begun and our students are going to start earning booster bits on our online program Imagine Learning for ELLs.  The program is available for students to strengthen their skills at home all year.  Please consider having our students log in as a reward at home, they really enjoy it! I will send home login information in the next two weeks. https://client.imaginelearning.com/?studentlogin

Listen to the read aloud of the week!

Our staff and students are really the best! I live with my husband Joe and our two little girls, Victoria who is 3 years old and Bella who is 1! We also have an Australian shepherd named Lennon :-)
